SORT · COOK · READYThe order that has waited longest is always at the front, so a table of two never gets lost behind a table of twelve.
Notes like “extra spicy” or “nut allergy” sit on the dish they belong to, so nothing gets lost at the bottom of a slip.
The cook taps the order ready and your staff are told straight away. Nobody has to walk to the kitchen to ask.

common questions.
What is a kitchen display system?
A kitchen display system (KDS) is a screen in the kitchen that replaces printed order tickets. Orders appear as soon as they are placed, cooks mark them ready, and the staff serving tables are told without anyone walking to the kitchen.
Do we need special hardware for the kitchen screen?
No. It runs in a browser on any tablet or spare laptop, so you may already have what you need.
How does it sort orders?
Oldest first, by the time each order came in, whether it came from a guest’s phone, a waiter or the counter.
What happens if the internet drops during service?
Zervoo runs in the browser, so it needs a connection. If the Wi-Fi drops, phones and tablets with mobile data carry on, and so do guests on their own data.
Can a cloud kitchen run several brands on one screen?
Yes. Each brand keeps its own menu and pickup numbers, and all of their orders land on the same kitchen screen. See Zervoo for cloud kitchens.
Can we still use a kitchen printer?
The kitchen screen replaces printed tickets, and Zervoo doesn’t print them today. If your kitchen still wants a printer, tell us on the call. Adding what Zervoo doesn’t do yet is what our custom builds are for.
