Zervoo vs Petpooja: an honest comparison

Which one should you shortlist?

Look at where the money leaks. If it leaks in the back office (GST billing, stock, purchase orders, Zomato and Swiggy order sync), Petpooja is the more complete tool and belongs on your shortlist. If it leaks on the floor (orders taken wrong, tickets lost between the table and the pass, guests waiting to order, a waiter walking to the same table twice), Zervoo is built for exactly that and needs no new hardware.

Plenty of venues end up needing both kinds of tool eventually. For now, pick the problem that cost you more last month and solve that one first.

What does each one cost?

Petpooja’s pricing page lists a Base plan at ₹12,000 (ex tax), Operations Manager plans at ₹20,000 and ₹30,000, and Marketing Manager plans from ₹20,000 to ₹40,000. It never says whether those amounts are monthly, yearly or one-time, and it calls the plans indicative and subject to change. Ask Petpooja for a written quote that states the period before you compare anything.

Zervoo’s Menu plan, a QR menu with up to 3 dishes in 3D, starts from ₹599 per venue a month in India. Plans with ordering and the kitchen display are one flat fee per venue per month, quoted after a short call, and the quote states the period. Annual billing saves two months. There is no setup fee, no per-staff charge and no commission on orders, and four or more venues are priced together as a Group. What each plan includes is on the pricing page.

Where Zervoo is stronger

On the floor. Zervoo’s kitchen display sorts tickets by how long each one has waited rather than by when it arrived, so a two-top never sits forgotten behind a party of ten. One tap marks a dish ready and calls the floor. Guests scan a QR at the table and order from their own phone with no app to install, and service requests (water, the bill, a waiter) land on the floor screen with the table number and a timer attached.

In the menu itself. Any dish can carry a real 3D model that guests turn in the browser or place on their table in AR, generated for you from photos. We could not find a 3D or AR dish menu in Petpooja’s published plans. See how 3D and AR menus work.

In what it takes to start. The kitchen display runs in a browser on any tablet or spare laptop, and staff use the phones already in their pockets. A single venue is usually taking orders in about twenty minutes, and we type up the first menu with you on the call.

Where Petpooja wins

Choose Petpooja if you need deep inventory and recipe costing, purchase management, e-invoicing, CRM and loyalty, or Zomato and Swiggy orders flowing straight into your billing. Petpooja lists all of those in its plans. Zervoo’s standard plans do not include them today, and aggregator tickets in the Zervoo kitchen queue are still being built. Petpooja also has a large installed base and sends people to install on its higher plans, which matters if you want someone on site.

We would rather say that plainly than lose your trust later. If those are your problems, Zervoo is the wrong first purchase.

Can you run Zervoo alongside Petpooja?

You can, and it is a common setup. Zervoo does not ask you to rip out a POS you like. Put Zervoo on the floor and in the kitchen (QR ordering, the kitchen display, service requests) and leave your billing where it is. If the two need to talk to each other, we scope it as a custom integration rather than promise a connector we have not built.

How do you switch, and what if it does not work?

Send a photo of your printed menu before the demo and we type it up with you. Print a QR per table, open the kitchen screen on a tablet, and you are live. Billing is monthly and you can cancel any time. Your orders, menu and history export as CSV whenever you want, including on the way out, so trying Zervoo does not lock your data in.
